Anyone who thinks that we as ABATE members are just motorcycle riders without committment should have been in Tallahassee this past weekend. We had our annual ride to the capitol on Monday morning with several hundred members gathering for the ride and the temperature was a balmy 18 degrees with the wind chill and probably 20 degrees colder than that riding the 30 miles from Monticello. That, my Brothers and Sisters is dedication and committment. Some left after the gathering in the capitol court yard in hopes that the temperature would hit 50 degrees for a part of the long ride home but there were a whole lot more that went into the capitol visited with their representatives or their aides and didn't leave untill early afternoon. Hats off to the Reef Riders chapter who rode up from the Keys and all of our Brothers and Sisters throughout the state for braving the elements to have our collective voice heard.
