Sunday 8/24/08 Wings of Gold MC Port St. Lucie 12th Annual (See Flyer below) (8-21 UPDATE) This morning at 01015 AM, I spoke with the contact for the event and he said the majority of the flooding they are experiencing is on the side streets and back roads. However they are still in the outer bands of the storm because the storm is moving slow and the direction of it's path. The event is still on but they are keeping an eye on the weather.
No formal chapter ride is planned at this time and I will check back with him on Saturday for an update. Anyone interested in planning a ride in support our Brothers and Sisters of the Wings of Gold MC are asked to contact Strongbow at 561-302-0879 to establish a time and place to meet.

IMORTANT REQUEST Attn. All Riders, ALR POST 268 Call For Men's clothing Drive! I would like to ask all of you to help the "Stand Down House" in Lake Worth by Going through your closets and draws picking out all those nice tee shirts, jeans, slacks, casual clothes, shoes and dress clothes that you never wore or just cant fit into any longer.. Lets face it I know I'm not getting back into size 32 waist. Don't be afraid to ask friends and family. So pack them up and hold on to them until I come up with a pick up place and date. If the other ALR, VFW Posts can join in and have your members drop them off at your post I will pick them up there. Get your Post members involved too. All decent clothes will be welcomed and used to help the Vets in this out standing two year Program with over a 90% success rate. Take the next two weeks look reel good and I’ll plan on a pick-up date in early Sept . If you would like more info on the "Stand Down House" let me know and I will provide you with a packet from them. Remember Men’s clothing only and as this is a clean and sober program you can give your beer add tee shirts to me. Look for my up-dates on this subject. And Thank You in advance. Loop

Saturday 9/13/08 Board Of Directors Meeting 9:00 AM. The Board will be meeting at the American Legion Post 268 for breakfast. Our B.O.D. meetings are open to all chapter members. We have a lot to discuss prior to the chapter meeting and a short time to do it. If you plan to attend the B.O.D. Meeting please, understand that it is not the time to buy products, renew memberships or voice your opinion during our discussions. You will have that opportunity at the chapter meeting. Your consideration and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Check out their menue, you can't beat these prices and Loop tells me the have the Posts finest cook in the kitchen. It's only a stones throw from the V.F.W. Saturday 9/13/08 ABATE Palm Beach Chapter Meeting 11:30 AM Our chapter meeting IS NORMALLY held the third Saturday of every month 11:30 AM at the V.F.W. Post 4143 located at 2404 Broadway, Riviera Beach 561-844-5718. I-95 exit Blue Heron Blvd. go east to Broadway (Federal Hwy., US- 1) turn right, go south 1 block the V.F.W. is on the east side. Look for the flags.
Immediately following our meeting, lunch will be served. Our Brother Bones will be servin' up some great sliders and rollers along with sides. It's important to support our home base, stick around for lunch and socialize, we're family here.
